What Is Audi’s Concept C?
So, what’s the Concept C all about? Well, it’s a two-seater electric roadster that takes inspiration from Audi’s older sports cars but doesn’t try to be a carbon copy of any of them. Audi’s already said it’ll go into production—but don’t expect it to wear a TT badge.
As Audi CEO Gernot Döllner puts it:
“The Concept C is not a successor of the TT. It’s a different segment to the TT – somewhere exactly in the middle between TT and R8.”
That means we’re probably getting something with a bit more kick than the TT, but not quite as full-on or expensive as the R8. The full version should get its big moment at the Munich Motor Show, but for now, this Milan preview gives us a tasty teaser.

Retro-Modern Design with TT Lineage
From the outside, the Concept C definitely cuts a distinctive figure. It’s got that mix of stripped-back retro styling and modern touches, borrowing bits from the OG TT and even reaching back to those crazy-looking 1930s Auto Union racers.
Design-wise, it’s all short wheelbase, a funky bubble roof, pumped-up bodywork, and a clever hardtop that folds away.
There’s no rear window, which might sound odd, but it’s all in aid of better aerodynamics and making it more engaging to drive. The idea seems to be striking a balance between old-school fun and future-facing design—basically showing us where Audi’s headed now it’s going all-in on electric.
Under the Bodywork: Platform, Power and Range
Underneath all that cool bodywork, the Concept C’s built on a fresh modular platform that it's going to share with the electric Porsche Boxster and Cayman. Trouble is, those Porsches are running late, so don’t expect any of this to show up before the end of 2027.
We don’t have loads of detailed figures yet, but here's what Audi is saying so far:
-
It’s got 800V charging, meaning it should juice up much faster than your average EV.
-
The battery’s going to be mounted in the middle of the car, spreading the weight nicely and giving it that kind of nimble, balanced feel you'd want from a proper driver’s car.
-
We’re expecting it to do over 300 miles on a single charge, which puts it right up there with the best of the current electric roadster crowd.

What’s Next for Audi’s Electric Sports Cars?
Right now, the Concept C feels like a bit of a statement from Audi—saying they’re not done with fun, fast cars, even as they go electric. It also seems like a sign they're getting back to making stuff that gets enthusiasts paying attention, instead of just churning out more SUVs.
Audi’s CEO, Gernot Döllner, made it pretty clear this isn't the last of it:
“Sports cars are still part of Audi’s DNA, and their return is not off the table—especially when the timing is right.”
