Abarth has announced a number of upgrades to its fun 595 and 695 hot hatchback for 2022, bringing additional style and customisation to the brand’s line-up.
The Fiat 500-based models continue to benefit from consistent upgrades, with two versions available. Both models use a turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine, with the 595 version producing 163bhp, and 178bhp in the case of the 695. The former is able to go from 0-60mph in 7.1 seconds, while the more powerful version can sprint to the same speed in 6.5 seconds.
The 595 model is now available in two guises – Turismo and F595. Abarth says the Turismo is the ‘ideal choice for a modern and elegant driver,’ with standard equipment including 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control and black or brown leather seats.
Meanwhile the F595 is more focused at ‘motorsport enthusiasts’, including a Record Monza Sovrapposto exhaust system with a new configuration for a more raucous sound and Koni suspension.
On top of the 595, the 695 version gets special 17-inch alloy wheels and Sabelt fabric seats with a matt grey shell. It also comes with a range of grey styling accents, such as to the door mirrors and dashboard. Other features include a carbon-fibre and Alcantara steering wheel and an aluminium gearstick.
The 695 is also available in Turismo guise, but also a top-spec Competizione model, bringing a titanium exhaust system, carbon shell seats and a mechanical limited slip differential as standard.
Like before, the 595 and 695 are both available in a three-door hatchback guise or a Convertible ‘C’. Prices start from £21,295 and rise to £29,945 for the 695C Competizione.
